about
In this season of solitude, I’ve been reflecting on the health of relationships I’ve carried; to feel my light dim when missing some, while releasing myself from the poison of other’s toxic influence. I wrote this song expelling the deep hurt of being on the wrong side of others’ ambition, and coming to terms with the reality that some people’s quest for “more” won’t always hold you in the picture. It’s not an ill fated wish towards them, per se, but it’s watching helplessly as they fly closer and closer to the sun, leaving a trail of burned victims in their wake. We wish they would simply find contentment, but are often forced to let them go.
